WHAT MUSIC DO OUR CATS LOVE?

The cat has exceptional hearing. His ears can hear faint noises that we humans will never be able to hear. We can perceive sounds at a frequency of up to 20,000 cycles per second. Cats reach more than 65,000 cycles per second and are able to hear sounds that are only within the reach of bats.

The cat cannot stand loud noises, screams, blaring music, din and slamming doors. Our cats need delicate sounds and noises for their sensitive ears and in order not to stress our four-legged friend we must respect this characteristic.

BUT OUR CATS LIKE MUSIC?

Our cats are very demanding and are not satisfied with music for humans. To make them happy it is necessary to buy or download from the internet, sounds composed especially for them.

The music for our friends must resound with chirps, sounds that recall the rustle of leaves, and purring. They must be repetitive and pressing tones.

There are three different styles for three distinct needs:

1) Fast and playful incorporate compose animal sounds reproduced with human voices and traditional instruments that stimulate the interest of cats;

2) Restful use hissing, which reminds cats of the sound of breastfeeding.

3) Purring sound and human moaning for the most conflicting emotions such as joy and pain.

All the compositions are recorded with traditional instruments and human voices, without ever resorting to the use of animal sounds and are based on concepts of feline vocal communication and ambient sounds that capture the interest of cats.

Soon it is thought that scholars may also start studying ultrasound music for our pets because cats have a huge acoustic range.

The idea of studying music for cats came from David Teie, American cellist of the National Symphony Orchestra and Charles T. Snowden, psychologist at the University of Wisconsin. Their songs are all original, written and interpreted to satisfy the difficult feline sonic tastes.

I will try to buy a composition to propose to my cats, it will surely relax me too.

I will let you know the reaction of my 20 friends to the sound of music specially designed for them.
